Beauty Essentials & Stocking Stuffers This Holiday Season

A woman after my own heart is Mariacarla Boscano, why? Because she travels with 5 to 6 cases of skincare, anyone who knows me laughs, I travel with more skincare then I do clothes. If I had the pleasure of meeting Mariacarla I would love to trade beauty secrets, one beauty secret I borrowed from her was Kett – a translucent powder that gets you ready for those close-up moments in everyday life. $22

The reason why we travel with a lot of skincare is because we never know how our skin is going to react to the climate change, or develop an allergic reaction to food, animals or in my case certain family members.

A couple of weeks ago I was sent off on a forced vacation to rural Texas, panic set in as I planned my skincare regimen.  I knew I probably wouldn’t have access to a blow dryer or straightening iron, let alone skincare and haircare for specific emergencies.

Being a skincare junkie and having access to the worlds best skincare  made packing my beauty case challenging, read further to find out what made the cut and why.

Lately I’ve been hooked on Omorovicza, and their Essentials Travel Kit is an essential – the kit includes travel sizes of  Queen of Hungary Mist, Illuminating Moisturizer, Rejuvenating Night Cream, and their beauty cult Thermal Cleansing Balm – all of which I used to replenish my skin during my West Texas visit. $150

My skin glowed, it stayed healthy and I was able to prevent mini breakouts with my Cane+Austin Acne Cleansing Pads, they don’t make travel sizes but I brought them along in little zip-lock baggies. $60

I admit I wasn’t always into sunblock like I am now and can’t live without Caudalie’s VinoPerfect Creme Eclat with SPF 15 and while I was on the plane couldn’t resist spritzing myself with their Beauty Elixir. $16/$68

Haircare was another subject all together and Pureology saved the week with their Super Smooth Petite Luxuries Kit – Pureology is affordable quality haircare that not only protects your hair but heals it too. $22

Sporting bangs requires more effort on my part, I’ve been fighting my natural cowlick for months and traveling without a blow dryer was not an option, I didn’t expect to find tourmaline ionic beauty tools at our hotel in Amarillo or at my aunts house – Amika saved my tresses with their go-go travel set.  Blow drying my hair was healthy and ever so easy. $110

I may have been shocked that public restrooms don’t provide toilet seat covers or that they don’t recycle in West Texas, but at least I was able to preserve my healthy hair and skin. Something else I learned? It’s best to live far away from family.

Oh and these beauty essentials make the perfect stocking stuffers for the beauty junkie in all of us – Happy Holidays!
