Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quads by Maybelline

Maybelline’s Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quads deserves an honorable mention.  This product has been out in the market for awhile, but I recently picked the Charcoal Smokes set up because the holidays are approaching and I wanted to test out my smoky eyeshadow skills.

What I like about the eyeshadow quads is that it can’t get any easier to apply a smoky eye than using Maybelline’s smoky eye sets, except that you’ll have a hard time choosing between the 14 different sets (grouped into neutral, brown-beige, blue-violet, and green color families).

One of the best things about the eyeshadow quad set is that each shade tells you where it needs to go on your eyelid.  If you are a visual girl like me, there is a diagram on the back of the case and also a groovy How-To-Video reference that is super-useful for us smoky eye novices.

The Charcoal Smokes shade was perfect for creating classic dark, smoky eyes!  I suggest using eye shadow primer, tossing the eye shadow applicators and using some quality makeup brushes for application, but I loved the end result.  I liked the way I could layer the shadows to achieve the desired depth.

Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quads is easy to apply, affordable, and comes in a garden of colors.  It’s a smoky eye must-have!
